![]() The first set in the list of LEGO Indiana Jones sets released in 2009 is Shanghai Chase. RRP: $29.99 Year Released: 2009 Pieces: 244 Minifigures: 5 Out of all of the Indiana Jones LEGO sets, this one potentially carries the most playability, with so many different scenes to act out for fans of the movie. Here we see various booby traps and battles breaking out in the hallways of the temple as Indy and Mutt try to get to the Crystal Skull. The core of the set is of course the buildable temple, which is a large model packed with fun scenes throughout. All four of the skeletons are unique to this set and don’t appear elsewhere. This set had 929 pieces and a large count of 10 minifigures, including three Akator Skeletons, Indiana Jones, Irina Spalko, Mutt Williams, a Russian Guard, two Ugha Warriors, and a unique Skeleton complete with armor. It is the largest set that was released in any of the initial waves of LEGO Indiana Jones and was seen by many as a crucial set to own for any collector of the series. This set depicts the all-important temple which acted as the location for some of the turning points of the movie, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The flagship set in the 2008 list of LEGO Indiana Jones sets is Temple of the Crystal Skull. Also included is a golden treasure chest, a horse, and other accessories. A notable component here is the mounted machine gun on the back of the jeep, which once again is not something we often see in LEGO sets, which typically shy away from scenes that depict too much violence. The core focus of the set is the German truck and the jeep which are both well designed and detailed. It includes the minifigs for Indiana Jones and three German Soldiers, which is a welcome addition to the set, as it is rare to find this many military-based minifigures in a LEGO set. With 272 pieces and 4 minifigures, Race for the Stolen Treasure is a highly-reviewed set and was much appreciated by the fans. ![]() This set was released in January 2008 and retired in July 2009, which gave it a shelf life of a year and a half. LEGO Race for the Stolen Treasure is a set from Raiders of the Lost Ark that depicts the fast-paced chase scene for the Ark between Indy and the enemy soldiers. ![]() RRP: $29.99 Year Released: 2008 Pieces: 272 Minifigures: 4 So what Indiana Jones sets were released in this theme? Let’s look closer at the entire list of Indiana Jones LEGO sets. This is an exciting LEGO theme packed full of adventure Fans of some of the old LEGO System ancient Egyptian sets will feel right at home here. There were 16 core sets in the initial two waves of sets that were released, with the second wave bringing more scenes from older Indiana Jones movies to the theme when it launched in 2009, including the much-requested Temple of Doom in LEGO form. The first sets in this theme were released in 2008 to coincide with the release of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. LEGO Indiana Jones is a theme of sets from The LEGO Group that are based on the popular Indiana Jones movies starring Harrison Ford. Fans of LEGO and fans of Indiana Jones rejoiced when this partnership was announced, and for a good reason! This is a crossover that is extremely well suited for both brands, and the partnership between The LEGO Group and Lucasfilm was a welcome addition to the world of LEGO.

However, the baritone ukulele is tuned differently - lower than the other three types - and equally to the top four strings of a classical guitar (E-B-G-D). There are four fundamental types of standard ukuleles: soprano, concert, tenor, and baritone. The Western music chromatic scale has seven main notes - C, D, E, F, G, A, and B, plus five flats and equivalent sharps in between. "Tune your ukulele, pull one string away from the soundhole, and gently tug it a few times. Under this background, memory objects help to weave together a web of activities such as information sharing, receiving, exchanging, encountering, and avoidance in families, offering opportunities for illuminating, leveraging, questioning, and negotiating past personal identities and their meanings for different generations of family members. The findings suggest that Chinese parents’ approaches to sharing memories with children may reflect broader societal trends in China, which are characterized by swift changes in generational life experiences and tensions between traditional and newer ways to conceptualize parent-child relationships and perform parenting. On a fundamental level, memory objects can play these roles because they can function as “natural traces” of the past, exist in different cultural/media forms with various characteristics, be used individually or in sets, and stay relatively durable across time and space. They can affect the shaping and reshaping of the images of parents, help parents to provide guidance for children (especially adolescent children) that is sensitive to their characteristics, and help parents to retain memories of parenting or to retain/expand the parental guidance value of their memories. Memory objects can play three roles when autobiographical memories are shared and received in families in contexts and situations that may impact parental guidance. As identifiable tendencies that collectively form a fluid continuum of practices, the four approaches reflect how key elements such as parental beliefs about how children learn, navigating trust and risk, framing memories for children, and shaping parent-child power dynamics can interact. The findings revealed that parental information practices of sharing memories with children could be characterized into four approaches: the open referential guiding approach, the reserved referential guiding approach, the preventive role modeling approach, and the motivational role modeling approach. My goal what to understand how people experienced activities of sharing and receiving autobiographical memories, their decision-making considerations about what to share and withhold, and what they thought about any memory objects that might be used.ĭuring the data analysis, providing and receiving parental guidance in families emerged as a particularly significant life context where sharing memories and interacting with memory objects can take on rich meanings. ![]() I used semi-structured interviews and supplementary ethnographic fieldwork to gather information from 32 Chinese participants living in urban areas of Xi’an (Shaanxi Province) and Beijing in China. If you want gritty grain, well-tested development times for push and pull processing, or the ability to darkroom print from the negative, it would be best to stick with black & white negative film. If you need b&w film urgently or want to use cheap film to give black & white negatives for scanning, C41 colour films like Kodak Color Plus (ISO200), Agfa Vista 400 or any film from the Fuji Superia range (ISO200 to ISO1600) should be a lower-cost alternative to black & white film, especially if you can get short-dated film over the Internet (short-dated colour film should still be fine for black & white work as any colour shifts over time are irrelevant). This is excellent for scanning but is likely to be problematic for anyone wanting to darkroom-print onto gelatine-silver paper. The wide tonal range and fine grain characteristics associated with colour print film is retained when processed in black & white chemistry, though only a black & white negative is obtained on the orange film base of the C41 film. Although only one film type has been tested it is reasonable to assume that other C41 films will respond in the same way as they are formulated for standard machine processing. HP5 cropped to show grain structure ConclusionĬ41 colour film can be processed in standard black & white chemicals to good effect. The cropped images are an identically-sized area (10 x 7mm) of the frame: The black & white film showed normal tonal range (it was a dull day when both films were shot) but more distinctive grain. Inspection of the films under a loupe showed that the colour negative had low contrast and a long tonal scale together with fine grain this is consistent with expectations for standard C41 processing. The levels were adjusted in Photoshop to give a full tonal range on the histogram but no other manipulation. Vuescan was set to auto-expose and give 2 passes for each frame, which I’ve found significantly reduces noise. ![]() The films were scanned using the same scanner and software (Epson V750 and Vuescan). I used the same development time for the C41 film as the Massive Dev Chart recommends for Ilford XP2 (a C41 b&w negative film), so if you want to use a different developer go ahead! I had some out-of-date 35mm C41 colour print film (Kodak GC-400, a cheap, consumer-level ISO400 film, no longer available) and wondered what would happen if I processed it in my normal black & white developer, Rodinal (actually ADOX Adonal, which is identical to the original AGFA formula), so I fired off a roll of the colour film followed by a roll of black & white film at the same ISO400 setting, which I processed in the same chemistry for comparison. ![]() Not only is it identical to processing black & white film but the fine grain and wide exposure latitude of C41 colour film is preserved in a black & white negative.ģ5mm colour print film can still be obtained in most city high streets, at least in the UK, and provides an available and low-cost alternative to regular b&w negatives for those willing to process and digitise their film. Kodak Portra 400 c-41 film in black and white chemicals ![]() Boxer engines have an odd feel at idle and I'd always assumed mine was just rough due to this factor and expected no improvement. One test I did was to set the cruise at 75 on a hill I often do this on and the tranny has to kick down to hold the speed. My Legacy: First bottle had dramatic effects throughout the powerband, but again most notable at 0-10mph. ![]() When you've owned a truck for 140,000 miles I guess you know just how much pressure will hold it in place but the better swirl of the clean valves must provide a bit more torque at these low RPMs. One interesting side effect was that the truck twice moved itself at stop lights when the idle up A/C compressor cycled on. I put another bottle in and the idle is rock steady. My 80: First bottle took 50% off the rough idle, and notably improved the low speed acceleration (0-10mph). It had a rough idle, very distinct flat spots, and weak acceleration from rest at the beginning of the Redline test. I've fed it good gas and Techron annually to its current 50,000 miles. The Legacy I bought with 23k on the clock and suspect it had cheap gas as it was a local rancher's wife's car. Over the years, I've tossed at least 2 bottles of Techron in it out of sheer pity and he has also done it "a couple times". Its engine feels as fresh as mine powerwise, but displays several mild flat spots, poor throttle tip in and a thready idle. His 80 has 280,000 miles on it and has been fed cheap gas all its life. I put a bottle of the Redline in our 80, and as additional date also in my brother in law's 80 and our Subaru Legacy. The engine's condition is excellent - recent plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor, etc. Fairly subtle but when you're sitting outside a store waiting for your wife or something with nothing better do to, it becomes annoying after you notice it. It's noticeable when I'm sitting in Park and manifests itself like a single cylinder misfires gently every few seconds in a random pattern. My 80 has had a slightly irregular idle for years - perhaps 5 years now. Redline's marketing claim is that these cleaner additives ALL leave deposits on the valves after doing their work and explain it convincingly. So, you wouldn't think I'd have any cylinder deposits due to this and keeping it in an excellent state of tune. Atop this, I have put a bottle of Chevron's Techron Concentrate in at least once a year - again since new. I was a bit skeptical since I have used Chevron Premium as the primary fuel, and always major brand mid grade or premium when I could not find it since this truck was new. ![]() Redline says no need as this issue does not arise with detergents. With solvent, you are getting some past the rings and deteriorating the oil, which is why it's best to change the oil after using them. Another huge difference between this and other "fuel cleaner additives" is that others are solvent based where this is detergent based. Redline's claim to fame with this product is that it is designed not to clean injectors, but to clean the valves and cylinder deposits. Thought I'd wait a bit to be sure of my results before posting this. After hearing so much about Redline's Total Fuel System Conditioner from people whose opinions I greatly respect, I tried some myself a few weeks ago with good results. ![]() If the sentinel nodes are free of cancer, it is assumed that the remaining nodes are also clear and no further lymph nodes are then removed.
