Now, it's 'is that the guy from that band?'"įRANZ Ferdinand have become known for championing up-and-coming Scots acts such as Sons And Daughters and 1990s, and say Scotland's music scene is both thriving and inspiring them. "We are intense music lovers ourselves," said Alex. "We like going to a gig and enjoying aband. If we see a band we like in Scotland, we want other people to know and if we can we take them on the road with us. There is a great young folk scene in Scotland with people doing new things and plenty of new rock bands too." "When we were up in Ullapool, Nick and I had great sessions with folk musicians until six in the morning. I got the swallows on my arms a while back which were the most painful. "They were my first tattoos and it does become addictive.
